I did a lot of extra carriculars, marist loves that. Show some drive and determination when applying and you can get in. As for sports if you're pretty high up there marist has a good GIRLS basketball team.

Marist doesn't care about test scores. A decent GPA and some extracirriculars will do the trick.

Honestly, I didn't have a hard time getting intoNov 06 2011Business - Management and Administration
Honestly, I didn't have a hard time getting into the school as a transfer student. Marist admissions seem to prize transfer students since they can check how well the student will perform in a college atmosphere and transfer students will tend to have a steady income to cover expenses.

If you are a student fresh out of high school, I would suggest that you attend a community college at least for two semesters before applying as they tend to be very harsh in rejecting first time college students admittance.

FOR ANYONE applying, I can't stress how important it is that you make sure you have outside additional funding like scholarships to cover the costs of tuition. Admissions and the Financial Aid department were INCREDIBLY misleading as to the amount of grant money and financial aid I could expect to receive and I was forced to take out a $10K loan just to cover the costs of one semester.

Marist College is all about volunteering, sports, etcNov 01 2011Communications
Marist College is all about volunteering, sports, etc. Show you are an involved high school student; they will assume this means you will get involved on campus as well, which is what they want.

If you are of some ethnicity that is not Caucasian, put it on your applications. Marist is attempting to diversify its student population.
